Recovery begins with choice. We’re here for those ready to show up
Peer-Based Support
A sober living environment focused on accountability, community, and recovery for all residents.
Inclusive Environment
At Lighthouse, we provide a safe, peer-supported sober living space, distinct from medical detox facilities, fostering growth and healing for all individuals committed to their recovery journey.
Sober Living
Lighthouse is not a medical detox facility; we focus on the Therapeutic Community, Credible Role models & peer support.
Lighthouse serves men 18 and older who are actively seeking recovery.
At this time, we welcome self-referred individuals only. Our structured environment is rooted in peer support, accountability, and purpose-driven living.
While our long-term vision includes welcoming men reentering from incarceration or those placed by court systems, we are currently unable to accept court-ordered or agency-referred applicants due to state regulations. Lighthouse is registered with OHFLAC and working toward WVARR certification, which will expand our ability to serve a broader population.
We remain committed to building a safe, recovery-oriented community for those who are ready to show up for themselves—and for each other.
Those whom we Serve
Lighthouse is not a treatment center or detox facility. We are a peer-based recovery home rooted in real-world structure and shared accountability.
Community members are expected to:
Maintain a drug- and alcohol-free lifestyle
Participate in daily routines and recovery-focused activities
Uphold house responsibilities and contribute to a supportive living environment
Engage in personal development and work toward long-term stability
Our program is intentionally structured to promote growth through mutual support, honest feedback, and a clear progression model that helps each individual reclaim their sense of purpose.
What We Offer
Comfort is overrated. Growth is earned.
From day one, new community members enter into property restriction, a focused period where outside access is limited and structure is everything. This isn’t a punishment—it’s a reset. You’ll stay on-site, build rhythm, and learn to live in accountability, not avoidance.
Phone use is not permitted during this time. Regaining access is tied to your willingness to show up for the process:
✔️ Completing phase work
✔️ Upholding community responsibilities
✔️ Meeting weekly program fees
As progression milestones are met, limited off-property privileges (starting at two hours) may be granted. These are based on your standing with peers, your consistency, and your ability to meet expectations outlined in your Individual Recovery Plan.
Every privilege—whether it’s a phone, a visit, or a walk downtown—has a purpose. It’s not just a reward. It’s a reflection of trust, self-discipline, and readiness for the next phase.
“Trust the process. Use wisely your power of choice.”
Daily Structure & Expectations
To maintain the safety and integrity of our recovery community, we have specific eligibility requirements in place.
To be considered for admission, an individual must:
Be 18 years of age or older
Be self-referred and voluntarily seeking recovery
Be willing to live in a peer-supported, drug- and alcohol-free environment
Agree to all program expectations and community guidelines
At this time, we are unable to accept:
Court-ordered placements or referrals from probation, parole, or treatment agencies
Individuals with active violent, arson-related, or sexual offense charges
Anyone requiring clinical detox or medical stabilization
These boundaries reflect current regulatory limitations under SB 475 and OHFLAC oversight. As we continue pursuing WVARR certification, we hope to expand our capacity to serve a broader population while upholding the safety and dignity of everyone in our care.
Eligibility & Boundaries
Lighthouse was founded with a simple belief: recovery begins in community. We’ve created a space where men can rebuild trust, establish healthy routines, and walk forward with purpose—not alone, but shoulder to shoulder with others doing the work.
Our current model is self-referral only, but we’re actively working toward WVARR certification to expand who we can serve. With each step, we’re laying the foundation for a stronger, more inclusive future—one that welcomes returning citizens, justice-involved individuals, and anyone ready to change their life.
This isn’t about rescue. It’s about responsibility.
It’s not about rules—it’s about rhythm.
We’re not a program. We’re a community in motion.
Our Vision for Growth
